Default Ralph Waters

It is with great sadness I must report that Ralph Waters, a great engine
collector, great friend of mine and many of you, is seriousy ill with terminal
lung cancer. He is presently in CCU at the Central Main Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine. The cancer is fast spreading and no treatment is being administered. He is resting comfortably and in no pain. His Family is with him. For further details anyone is welcome to contact me via e-mail or my cell phone no. 207-462-1708. I visited Ralph this morning for an hour alone. We said our "Goodbys".

Sorry to hear this, It is always sad when a dear friend passes or their time is near, but you must find comfort knowing he will be in a better place. Our Prayers are with Ya'll.

I for 1 will miss seeing and talking to Ralph at the shows, and now wish I had spent more time visiting with him 2 weeks ago at the Orange show! For me I seem to be hearing this news of good engine guys passing on (and way too young at that) they wrote a song about a rock and roll heaven, But I've to say There must be one BIG engine show heaven out there too! Here is a Ralph story...
Many years ago at one of the New England shows I was talking with Ralph about an engine that was for sale. Ralph said why don't you buy it. I said I don't have the cash with me. Ralph promptly pulled out his wallet and said "how much do you need" That was just the way he was.
I really wish I had seen him to talk to at Orange last month!
He will be missed!
My condolances to his family
Ernie
