Sure, It starts at .99 cents, but..

Shipping is $549.00

No wonder no one is bidding.

Who's gonna pay $550 for a Lauson engine with a kickstarter?? I sure wouldn't.

I'd like to know what would happen if someone bids $.99 and tries to pick it up. It doesn't say anywhere that it can't be picked up, unless this guy wants $549 to ship it to the end of his driveway...

for 549.01 i could drive there and pick it up ... if that is what he wanted for it he should have started the bid there not trying to dodge the ebay fees by starting at .99 ...watch there will be more of this before long......gotta give him some credit for finding a new way to screw ebay out of some of there fee's.....john

I sell a lot on Ebay and it looks like a good way for now to beat the end of auction charge that is a killer. You realy take a hit on high doller items, you can see in the add where he states that the two prices will be combined to get his total ascking price even if you pick up. Nice engine I would like to have but it is on the very high side of its value.

No expert but looking at the gas tank mount and heavy pulley I think this is simply a kick start engine and never had a place on any cycle.

I reported the listing to E-bay, it is in violation of the shipping rules.

Jim, thanks for the reply. I had it kind of figured out that you were not the seller but it wasn't real clear.

If you look closely, you can see the ID tag on the blower housing. Unless it has been completely rubbed off, it should say that it is a Lauson and give the model & serial numbers. I'm thinking it is a Model TLH.
Why does the seller insist on calling it 4 other things that it is not???
For a guy wanting $550.00 for it, you would think he would try to describe it completely and accurately.

IT HAS A BID!
The bidder must be new since he only has a feedback rating of 2. Wonder if he actually read the shipping requirements?
