Default Homelite EZ6 Chainsaw

I recently bought a homelite ez6 chainsaw that is in really good condition but does not run the hole that the petcock screws into the gas tank constanly gets clooged because the tank has so much rust and varnish I could probably make pound cake with it DOES ANYONE KNOW A METHOD TO CLEAN A GAS TANK REALLY GOOD BECAUSE MINE IS GONNA NEED SOME TLC

Add mineral spirits and a bunch of 1/2" ball bearings and ride it around in the back of your truck for a few days and keep turning it over/switch positions.

Acetone or MEK will really cut that stuff. Yep,just ride it around in the truck a while with the ball bearings and liquid.

I've bungee corded fuel tanks to a rear tractor wheel, put a handful of 3/8 nuts and bolts in it and drive around to check the cows. may take several trips but it knocks a lot of crud loose. I was always afraid to run anything volatile in the tank but I did try pine sol and it helped some.

all the rattling around kinda freaked the cows out tho.

Red Kote sealant will coat the inside and repair leaks at the same time, made for gas tanks
