Photo Fairbanks Jack Junior

Fairbanks Morse Jack Junior going together. Can I use the spark saver on the engine with the magneto? Waiting for the cart parts from sandblasting to get into paint.

John:

Spark savers weren't used on mag fired engines. The reason is that they make a ground circuit when the engine is to fire.

This would short out the mag when it needs to fire. Kinda hard to start that way.
