Post your cast iron here. Search bans three letter results, I can't find any W2C's on the STAK so I'll post mine. Has been in the family long before my time but lives again.

Just FYI - if you go to google and type in "site:smokstak.com w2c" (without the quotes) you can search smokstak for 3 letter results.

Hey guys. So I'm in the process of purchasing some parts from another member for the old W2C. Mine is missing its original coil box and also has a cracked head which was repaired years ago but unfortunately began leaking after a few heat cycles. Question of the day is head gasket... I am wondering if they are available but thinking NO or BIG $, so where would be a good source for material to make one? Now onto what material... off hand I don't remember what the original material is (I was probably about 7 yrs old when my father put the head back on) and I haven't pulled the old head since. I'm thinking to buy a small sheet of composite material and make one. Any recommendations?

Angry Sailor, Recently a friend and I purchased 4 W2C's from a former Staker in Toronto. With the purchase we received a new extra head gasket. Postage would be appreciated. PM with address and contact details. Dan

Also, I am looking for an original rad cap for this generator. If I cant find one I plan to copy one from some pictures. At that time I could possibly make a few if others are in the same situation.

A few pictures of 2 onans sitting neglected in my backyard. Come late fall and winter is prime time for working on them. The w3s has been rebuilt and runs, the other has timing issues. The s model had a auto start with it that was donated to a old kohler 4 cyl. gen set.

Be very very careful with a offer like that. Ohio is not that far away. I assume you are offering storage only, not hoping that I will forget their location?

NICE Those look very complete and original. What did these have for connections for the AC output? Mine just has the hots coming out a npt cable gland just above the DC connections. Would there have been any outlet box or were these generally hard wired?

I had more pics but that phone went to electronic heaven

A BIG thank you to DAN H The head gasket has arrived! It will most likely be November before I get back home to work on any projects but will post pics at that time. Looking for a good match to the old Onan green to put her back to original condition.

Thanks again DAN H and the whole STAK community!

Andrew
