B & S did not use o-rings/seals on the valve stems for that engine.

You should put up a photo of the engine and the parts you are talking about. What you are calling o-rings may have a proper name that would be more recognizable to the more experienced engine guys here.

You may be talking about the head gasket, which for a 6S may still be available from Briggs&Stratton. The piston-rings and valves that you can see when you take the head off and most other parts would be available from parts vendors on this website or off of Ebay.

If youíre talking about the valve seats. They look like Oís. So I assume thatís what youíre talking about. You can get them and almost every other part for that engine. Just keep the valve seats that popped out, and YouTube how to install them. Thereís a whole technique to it. It will just be easier to watch a video, than have me type it out here. Iíve restored three B&S Model 6B-S. Parts are everywhere.

I called myself looking at the 6B-S parts blowup and parts list. I didn't see any valve seats in the blowup or listed in the parts list. Were the valve seats machined into the cylinder block?

You can most likely use the ones from the 60000 series engine. I have to get ready for work, and donít check Smokstak that much. Send me an email to courts94s@aol.com and Iíll show you a couple parts/diagrams.

courts94s I had time today to find and drag my old B&S binder out and take a look at the repair manuals. I forgot sometimes some parts may not appear on a parts blowup. It seems the B&S 6B-S uses for the valve seats pn: 211291 superceded by pn: 691702. He probably can check with a supplier on here to get the seats if indeed that is what he needs.
