Exclamation Hudson Auction

The HVOTPA auction was Saturday, 5/14. We had over 2000 lots! The field was full by Wednesday afternoon, and we had to stop taking in items! The last row was actually 1/2 a row longer than it was supposed to be. Lots of items, lots of engines, and a few autos and motorcycles. Definitely a buyers auction this year, a lot of bargains out there. A few of mention - a 2 cylinder Edwards - 400, a IHC M 11/2 HP 350 and more. 2 iitems of note - Late style vertical Bessemer (like Detroit), $1300 - looked all original on skid and wheels, nice original green paint!. Nice stove pipe domestic with galvanized jacket (not copper), push rod engine, $3975. Both these engines drew a big crowd, even though they were on the next to last row (14)! Auction kicked off on schedual, at 8 AM, and we were don about 6:30, even with the long last rows. Congrats to the auctioneers who did a good job, and to the people who worked so hard to make this event a good one! I did my part, helping out, spent Friday nite helping set up and getting bid cards and sellers info set up, and clerking for the furnature auction in the pavilion. Thaat too was overfilled! Best seller there - a porcelean GULF oil sign, about 4 feet in diameter - $600. A bargain, ad the sign looked nearly new!
