Default Running Old Small Engines on LPG

Greetings, I currently have a small collection of small engines, these are BSA Generator 300Watt-15v Rated at 2200rpm,WW2 issue,BSA with reduction gearing, these are both 100cc,Villiers MK20-206.5cc, 2x Villiers MK25-256.5cc, all are 1940s,all are currently running on petrol, I would like to run these on LPG as anyone out there converted these or similar engines, any thoughts on feasability of these would be of great help,Chiefy.

Default Re: Running Old Small Engines on LPG

If they're designed to lubricate from oil/fuel mix, then it won't work so well... but if they have oil sumps and lubrication separated from fueling system, that'll be more promising.

Running them on gaseous fuels such as LP or NG is generally a matter of establishing an apporpriate regulation, vaporization, and metering system. A small demand regulator would be the most challenging part. Getting performance will probably require adjustment to ignition timing.
