This is a 7.5DJB.There should be a tag on the shield by the oil filter.

Rob overall it was a good unit. They were used alot in the oilfields to run wireline trucks.Good as a standby unit. Not good on the noise level, but where they were used no one cared.Overall a very good unit.

Hey, I won THIS unit in the auction. This particular one. Here are more pictures:

http://igor.chudov.com/tmp/onan/Diesel/

I have not yet picked it up from the base, because I am waiting on approval of some other sale, which I would like to pick up at the same time as I pick up th egenset.

Any identification of this genset would be greatly appreciated. Just how many parts (that are visible) is it missing?

Billy, can I build a sound deadening enclosure from plywood? Would that help at all? I heard that these units are noisy. Also, how much vibration can I expect from it, and how much noise.

Thanks!
