Default 1926 Ingersoll-Rand Portable Compressor Unit "Type 20" Info?

Purchased this unit yesterday in Syracuse. I will be emailing Waukesha Engine Historical Society for information on the model Z (specifically Z36A) engine. However, does anybody have any information about the rest of the unit as a whole? I have scoured the internet and came up with very little. Most imagines I have found of original literature are too grainy to read. From what I can tell it appears to be part of the "Type 20" series or family? However the only info I could find showing specs for the different size units in the "Type 20" series were all bigger than this unit. From quick measurements last night the compressor appears to be 4-1/8" bore x 5" stroke.

In short, does anybody have or could direct me to some literature? Specs and/or operating info would be invaluable.

Waukesha Engine Historical Society has been very helpful so far. They provided me with a Sales Brochure for my model, and will be mailing a paper manual to me soon. From their records, Waukesha made ~1600 model Z engines, with only 671 of those being sold to Ingersoll-Rand.

So far neither Ingersoll-Rand or Doosan have replied to my inquiries.

I doubt you are going to hear much from Doosan. I got info on ours way back from Ingersoll but they told me that I might find more from the Cook Co historical Society or Chicago Historical Society. You may want to try them.

Thanks for the info Terry, I will follow up on that. What info were you able to get from Ingersoll? Do you have any pictures of your unit? Not even that many actual photos of units out there floating around on the internet.

Managed to get the wheels loosened up so they will actually roll! Everything else I've gotten into so far has come loose fairly easily so that is a good sign.

No dice from contacting either of those historically society's. I suppose I might have to actually start placing phone calls to Ingersoll-Rand & Doosan to try and either get some information or a positive no. Just wish I could find somebody with one of the original catalogs that I keep coming across grainy photos of online.
