Photo Honda PC50 1970 throttle control

I need the throttle handle and slide mechanism, not the circular type of throttle control. I think the regular Honda 50 and maybe larger bikes used this type of throttle control. Where would I get one??? Failing that a good picture of one would help so I could make a new one. Thanks.

Looks like a long spiral groove on metal internal sleeve.

That sounds about correct. A lot of the small Honda's of that period had about the same set up as I remember such as the QA50's, C100's, CT90's, etc.

Same parts as the very common Z50 and CT70. The sliding part called the hinge is available from Honda. 53161-044-000
The throttle pipe is 53141-098-000 *This is for a Z50 Will work but might be a tad shorter. So look it up for a CT70.

And so on. It's all available from similar models.

Just go online at the site of your local Honda dealer and click up the parts finder. You'll know what to do after that.

I had no luck at the Honda dealer when asking for the PC 50 parts but will try for the Z50 and CT70, maybe that will do the trick. Just a young guy in parts so maybe an older guy will know what to do. I did get a parts manual so that helps. Thanks.
My first MC was a 1947 Whizzer that cost me about 25 cents a week to run! I graduated to a 250 BSA then much later got my boys into Yamahas and Suzukis. Now restoring a Bonanza my grandson started to do and didn't get past the tearing apart stage. Also have a French Moby that just needs wiring. Thanks again. JimC

Did you get a honda part number? It looks simular to the old step through Honda 50s but I don't recognise number 14 part.
This is on ebay. It's for an early honda mini trail. http://www.ebay.com/itm/69-honda-z50...0ff07f&vxp=mtr

Another http://www.ebay.com/itm/1974-honda-c...8bdd10&vxp=mtr

Another http://www.ebay.com/itm/1969-honda-q...7d26b4&vxp=mtr

This is for a pc50 http://www.ebay.com/itm/1969-HONDA-P...84b97c&vxp=mtr

The throttles seem the same when seraching on ebay.

Just a quick note on those throttle pipe setups.........I restored a 1967 CT90 and needed a replacement slide, so I ordered one only to find out it was a bit too wide for the slot in the handlebars...yet it was supposed to be an "original" size! Like it or not, that's the only size available anymore so I had to carefully file the slot wider in order to fit the part. A little grease and it works just fine.
