You should be able to take the inside and outside diameter of the ring gear and the no of teeth to a automotive machine shop and find one. Once you have you can heat the old one and it will drive off then heat the new one up in the Brides oven and you can tap it on the flywheel.

It looks like the ring gears are the same for DJC<MDJC<MDJE,
Should be easy to find a flywheel for any of these and pull the gear

I suspect that ALL the external starter J Series flywheels & ring gears will be the SAME..... xxJB/Es, xxJC/Fs....

Easy way to heat ring gears:
Take the transformer out of a full size microwave and
cut the core apart as in "transformer-core.jpg" then
remove the the secondary coils and the two shunts.
Connect the cord to the primary coil, lay ring in one
core window and place the removed core piece back on.
plug in to 120 Volts and wait till ring gear is as hot
as you want. Don't take long and its heated evenly all
the way around. Lloyd H

My ring gear was worn pretty bad on my MDJF. I found a new starter bendix on line and rebuilt my starter then tapped my ring gear off the flywheel, turned it over then heated it up with a torch and tapped it right back on again . So far it works perfect. Working on the unused part of the ring gear.
Worked for me.
