Default Caterpillar Sixty Diesel Conversion No. 2 up and running!

Had some time over the last couple of weeks to help Lauren get this old girl up and running. Last week we primed the fuel system. We found that the pony started right off! To avoid damage though, we opted to pull start the tractor. Just a short distance and the old girl fired right up!

Driving!

Lauren has most of the parts to build a canopy, parts to build fenders and a fuel tank (it'll need cleaned and sealed). We installed the new seat base and cushions last fall before it got too cold to be out working on the old girl in the metal barn.

Lauren rebuilt the throttle control as it had worn out from use, though I'd imagine that given the nature of these tractors and their having out lived their expected life to be repowered with the diesels, replacing a few parts might be expected!
