Default GEM CD - need help adding functionality

After allowing the GEM CD's to collect dust on my desk for several months, I've decided to finally have a gander at them. VERY nice.

But there's one glitch. I HATE to swap CD's. I'd much rather move each CD onto my hard drive, where access will be faster and there will be no need to shuffle CD's in and out.

It's easy enough to move each CD onto the hard drive. The benefit is that there's no more CD swapping. But every search that I do would require FOUR searches, one for each CD volume.

It would be even BETTER, if I could combine the data of all the CD's into one directory. Then I could do ONE search that will look at ALL the data from 1966 through 2004.

So far I've got all the data into one directory, but I don't know how the search function works. Does someone know how to make the search functions work across all four volumes?

Thanks,
Rob
