Default Maytag model 30

How do you remove the agitator from a model 30 washer?

The Agitator should pull straight up and out. If it is tight it is one of two things, either it is tight at the top where it fits down on the square drive or it is tight near the bottom where the bushing is. Try hitting it with a mallet while pulling up on it. Attached is parts sheet to show you what you have. Good luck, Bill
