Default ONAN JB no tag

If I could get some help went and looked at a JB generator with NO tags, only the block numbers.
Any information would be helpful.

Speaking from experience, you will need to post some pictures at the very least. No tags are not quite a no go but most of the experts here can only give a definitive answer on what you have based upon tag info. Pictures can at least determine whether its a Magnacitor end or YD, extended stack, tri-fuel etc. I seem stuck with marine sets with tags gobbled up by bilge brine based upon where I live so I feel your pain.

Only pictures are from the Craigslist post https://norfolk.craigslist.org/for/6081292619.html

Hope this helps.

Only thing I can say for sure; it is a magneciter set.

$100 ? What are the parts worth to you? with the exhaust pointing up and not plugged, you can almost be assured the cylinders and maybe lower end are full of rust.

If it were within 50 miles of me, I might buy it with the hopes that the starter and carb are salvageable. The sheet metal and other various parts would go in my salvage pile.

I would take it. If he would pay me to haul it off. Open exhaust most likely rusted shut.

Can try turning flywheel to see if it's free. But sitting for 10 years even if it was under a trap it might be seized. With luck you could get a few parts off it, but at $100......

Why don't these people at least put a tarp over it.

What is scrap value for it? that's likely what it is.

It must have been sold. The CL ad was taken down. I wonder who got it and for how much?

It's mine for the price of "Get it out of my yard!" I will pick it up next week.
Comes complete with a small trailer with flat tires...
I did pull the oil dipstick and it definitively has water in the oil. For the price of haul it away I don't think I can get hurt on this deal.
As for the distance I have to go to get this generator... less than 1 mile round trip

Thanks
Keith

Excellent! 1/2 mile each way? Make sure you fill your truck's gas tank for that long trip and get plenty of sleep the night before. Your don't want to fall asleep at the steering wheel 1/4 mile down the road
