Well Jarhead if you don't mind the help from a NAVY guy. I have the manual for a spec D DDA. 12 lead set. LO is T-4-5-6-10-11-12. L1 is T 1-7 through CT 21. L2 is T2-8 through CT 22. L3 isT3-9 through CT 23. Wire from Terminal 63 goes to H 3. The prints for wiring are on the covers for the generator section.

Ike,

I don't know for sure what the original sub at the factory was at build time, but the one in your phono looks like the size of the original 115V/2200 or 2500 watt unit.

Check the ohms directly at the element. If a 2500 watt unit, should be about 5.29 ohms. If 2200 watts, 6.01 ohms; 2000 watt unit will be about 6.6 ohms. These values are all based on the older 115V rating instead of 120V.

As a comparison, a 240V/2200W heater, pulling 9.1 amps would have an approx. ohm value of 26.2 ohms.

Make sure you isolate at least one wire from the element before measuring, and hopefully the element is still good.

Jim,

When you find time, I need wiring diagram for ONAN 3ABG 3.75 KVA Generator from 30 March 1951.

Respectfully, Tom Cline

Tom see my post above. Your prod order is posted. The way this thing I have works is you find the order on one disk then you find dwg no on the order and look up the dwg on another disk. I don't see a dwg no on the order. I was hoping one of these experts on here would see something I missed.

Jim/Tom,

I think this should be the diagram for your 3ABG. Don't shoot the messenger. It looks to be an oversized document that was scanned, and the outside edges of the drawing were cut off. Hope there is enough here to help you some.

Hi Jim,

I just acquired an almost-new 15.0JC. It was posted on Craigslist, and I couldn't believe what they wanted for it. So, I bought it the following day, and am now trying to figure out how to get it out of my truck! This generator came with an Onan LTEU transfer switch, Nat.gas regulator and piping, and muffler. To my surprise, when I opened up the ATS, the operators manual(s) and wiring diagrams were in the original envelope!
I would greatly appreciate your expertise on deciphering the factory code for optional equipment, in the model number.

Thank you and all on this site for the wealth of information you pass on to the less experienced.

Greg

I will attempt to post some images.
