I thought it was great. Every time I sold something I ran off and bought something else. Only one thing right as it was set out. Every one had seen most of it before me.
There were about 60 engines at the auction. They started out pretty high with some very high. But there was another huge auction by Wayne Yoder with many good items that went cheap too. So Baraboo lost their crowd. At the end of the sale they were selling Wico mags and giving the bidders an engine and cart to go with it.Many painted and running. I had to walk away as I had shot my wad and was concerned I was over loaded. Bills exist here in Iowa too.
I am not sure what to think about it in general. Every one knows it, so its nothing new. A sign of the times. Alot of the sellers are getting old and with their kids there helping to sell things just wanting the money. Then other vendors trying to compete. So as they say "what do you do, take the lessor money or take it back home.
I came home weighing 500# more than I left with. I would not have bought that 500# if I had known I would not sell much Sat and Sunday was 40 bucks. I have done it before and sold more this time than any other. I do real well at the show. The public was there Friday bu thats it. Straglers Sat and lonley people and poor families Sunday.

I bought this little air compressor some one was making into an engine. It sat there a whole day before I bought it. No one wanted to trade their dead president pictures for it.
The rusty little engine came from a locall scrapper. He was the greasy guy with scragly hair misaing teeth going around the auction telling people he had an engine like what just sold and he wanted to sell it. When they started selling cheap he got even cheaper.
Then he had his daughter text me a picture. I told him I would take it. The tag reads Galloway. Its in the hot tank now.

I decided before i got there i would only buy parts and pieces. Some of the wrenches sold high. Choice was the way they sold. When the collectors quit bidding i bought what was left.

I think the aluminum muffler and crank guard were thw only 2 things i bought right out of the truck before anyone seen them. Every thing else had been out at least for some time.
