Does Maple-Hunter decals make them? I know I've seen them before, I'm just not in the KGB, nor do I know the secret handshake, so I might not be privy to the information on what top secret location they come from?!?!?!

Getting ready to work on the ol' Keck, I take it?

Jeremy

Zach Johnson(30-90 Russell) has vinyl KG decals. They are very well made and look great. I have not put them on an engine - only my truck. Maybe someone else has used them on an engine

I posted a while ago but I would like to make a run of water transfer as what they were originally for authenticity sake. I will get them someday. I would like about 20-30 water trasfer myself

Maybe people canget together and get somthing done.

If I can find the right box, I have a set of vinyl decals. Made from an original I have.

Need some time to look them up.

How many would "usually" go on a 19HP SSG with 2 round tanks on the platform? I know that there is one on the cylinder lagging. Where else? How about on a wooden separator?

KG1852 could use a set, so add 3 more!

I've usually only seen 'em with a decal on each saddle tank & the cylinder on the sidemount engines but some folks might put 'em on the coal bunkers too. Seems like on the catalog pics of the 19 sidemounts that's all there were (cyl/saddles), but I think in the pics of the old 15/16 horses w/the U-tank on em they were also on the rear. Heck, as pretty as they are you can't really go wrong with however many you put on!

Couple ??'s-

Just to be clear, are these the vinyl or water transfer type we're talking about?

Christmas is coming, would they be ready for 'gift-giving' if people might be asking for ideas of things you'd like Santa to bring? I thought about being bad just to try to get some coal but just in case that don't work out . . .

On 1550 a single rear mount 20 the out line of the original decals can be seen under the paint on the bunkers. The side tanks had lettering diagonally across the face. I am sure there were many combinations depending on the year.

[QUOTE= How about on a wooden separator?[/QUOTE]

Andy, as for as I know, there were only two KGC decals on a wooden separator. One on each side, towards the back. Same as on a metal separator, two. As for as an engine, three, as for as I know. One on the cylinder and one on each side of the rear tender tanks. If it was a "U" tank, one on each side.
Beth, I've wondered about that myself. I have a copy of a pre 1900 KGC catalog, courtesy of Half Keck. The copy isn't very clear, but on the tender tank, it seems to be a different decal. I just need to take this to the KGB lab and see if we can enhance the copy to see just what we have. Just haven't taken the time.
