Default Kohler 9CC061-RV

Anyone have any knowledge on this Model?

Looking at one for a friend, but not getting enough information from the seller to determine if itís worth the price.

I took a chance and bought this Genset. I am happy I did. It has a Yanmar Diesel 3 Cylinder engine.

It appears to be quite stout. It came with some sounding deterrent but I removed all of that since it will be going in an out building and most of these small diesels are not very loud to begin with.

Here are some pics for future reference to anyone looking.

Those yanmar engines are supposed to be well built and very reliable. You have a nice set!

Well, I got it running today. I can tell it had not been run for a very long time. It was sputtering and coughing too.

I went through everything and was able to get fuel all through the line, the stop solenoid was working fine. I just needed to keep starting it and letting it run. Finally it just came into itself and started to idle very nicely.

I checked to see if the Generator Head was putting out, and it was.

I need to weld up some sort of stand so I can have it up some in my Generator Shed at my Camp. I am going to sell my current Camp setup to a good friend who needs a good reliable Generator for his Camp, so good times all around.

I ran this Genset for 12 hours yesterday. Getting a quarter gallon an hour for fuel usage.

It ran cool, was quiet, and very smooth.

If anyone ever runs across one of these for a decent price I would say buy it, or let me know where it is and I will...LOL

I paid $1000.00 delivered in case anyone wonders what I consider a decent price.

The pic is in my Generator shed on the stand I welded together for it.

I would love to find one of those at a decent price, but they donít seem to show up very often, unfortunately.

Glad yours is running well! Nice little genset, should last you a looong time.

Protect the radiator as best as you can from vibration and run good diesel rated coolant. A replacement will cost you more than you paid for the set. Nice size set. 9 KW will run just about anything you throw at it.

Motorhead...Good point. That's the reason I built the stand as long as I did so if I need to go behind it, or get into that corner I will actually hit the stand before the Radiator.

It is all factory mounting for the Radiator, so I am hoping those will hold well.
