Default L600 oil pan removal

Is it possible to remove the oil pan on a Kohler L600 without removing the generator?

Yes, an easy job. You just have to lift the engine away from the oil pan which also happens to be base and legs of the unit. Make sure you get the three bolts between the engine and the generator. They are hard to see.
