Default Heider 15-27 Flywheel Size Question

Hello,

I consider to make new friction material on the flywheel on my Heider 15-27.
I read here on Smokstak solutions like masonite.
Also looked on " PaperPulleys.com" .
They 've got fitting material for a Heider C, but only the outside diameter seems to fit....My inside diameter is a bit smaller, also about 7 or 8 mm lesser than on their website...
Are there different sized flywheels on the C 12-20 and 15-27 ???
Looking out to hear something from the proffs...

Marco

when paperpulleys made ours, they said they actually had 3 or 4 dimensions in their files. what we ordered turned out to be a little larger ID than what out flywheel turned out to be so had to remove a little material to make it fit. if you tell them dimensions, they should be able to come close.so yes, there seems to be some variance.

Hello Everybody,

The inner size and thickness is no problem I can take the measurements.
But what about the outside...? 10 mm paper outside flywheel..?

How much clearence there has to be at least between the engine flywheel and the 2 driving discs ??

Merry Christmas
, Marco

the size can vary depending how worn your disks are. you will want the disk to be large enough that the minimum amount of space when centered in neutral is present that will allow a gap. I think on ours, we allowed about 1/4 inch or even a bit less under the distance between the two disks as our starting point. you can always take material off, but you can't add. in neutral, you should be in neutral, but one notch either way you should start to get some engagement when new.
