Default New Year's Day Start Up?

Is anyone planning anything? I usually try to fire up a tractor but with -20 something temps, it ain't gonna happen. That 40 weight oil gets pretty stiff.
Best wishes to everyone for a safe, healthy, and successful 2018.
Happy New Year,
RM.

I've enough supplies to stay here at home for over a week if the cold persists. I spent much time today on phone talking tractors, parts, people and events. A friend needs master pinions and a pulley gear for a 15-30 F Oilpull.

I hauled a load of wood yesterday and used the 40 JD A , it was about 12 degrees outs. Going to the same today when warms up alittle more it's currently 9 degrees out and the wind is blowing, so probably below 0 . Glad I changed the oil to 10 w. Jim

By the time I got out this morning, it was still -24C. I just did a drive by at the shop!
What are peoples' plans for shows this year? If Crosby, ND and Austin, MB are only a week apart this year, I am considering doing those shows. I am not sure what Crosby is featuring, but Austin is doing International Harvester. Either show is worth the visit in any case.
Wauseon, OH (NTA) is featuring prairie tractors, I think. I generally go there anyway so that is on for late June.
There are so many great shows, it is hard to know which ones to do.

It's 0 degrees out this morning, so I'll just sit here and visit on site! We are planning to make Crosby again if circumstances allow.

I ran my 1-1/2 HP Sandwich today for a couple of hours. My friend Dan Withers stopped by, we had a nice visit! It was minus 3 degrees when I looked early this morning.

I fired up my uncle's "new" CC Case, he bought last Friday, It has been in storage for the last 14 years. I belonged to a farmer he worked for in high school. 28 degrees today, not bad.
