FWurth; The Rantoul show is big and covers a lot of ground. I was there with the Allis Chalmers group, My 1925 Allis Chalmers " E " 15/25 was in the Allis tent. I wish we would of met up and got to know each other better. I enjoy these big shows and show my tractor off, Seems a lot of people don`t know of the " E " model and others want to know all about them because there are so few of them, So I get to meet and talk a lot of people. Take care and happy camping at a tractor show. Roger Weinhold AKA Charlie 1925

On the above post I typed in a model " E " should have been a model " L " Sorry. Getting old dose that to one. Anyway I took Big Charlie to the " G " roundup at Gadsden, Ala this past weekend , Got to meet some old friends and see a lot more orange tractors. One thing for sure the people down in the south sure don`t see many green Allis Chalmers and don't know that they were green for the first 15 years. ( 1914 to 1930 ) All take care and will see you at a tractor show . The show in cummins, Ga is Nov. 10 & 11 2017 Happy camping. Roger Weinhold AKA Charlie 1925

Stakers; It`s been a while sence I was on here. Was just doing some thinking of past times about myself and this 1925 Allis Chalmers model " L " tractor that I have. ( BIG CHARLIE ) My father ALWAYS CALLED HIM THAT. He purchased this tractor in the spring of 1947 after the first owner retired and didn`t need him anymore. He did threshing ,custom plowing (spring & fall) and also operated a sawmill. The tractor was at a Allis dealer getting it`s engine rebuilt. The Allis dealer that my father did business with told him about the tractor. My father went to that dealer and brought the tractor. So this tractor has been in our family for 70 years now , ( 1947 -2017 ) I was born on Dec. 5, 1940 that made me about 6 at that time, So this tractor and I have been around for a long time .My father did threshing for 10 or 12 other farmers , some field work, filling silo and blowing chopped hay in the barn for a number of years, I have a lot of time operating BIG CHARLIE This tractor has been under my care sence 2009. The Allis Chalmers company only made 1705 of these tractors ( 1921 - 1927 , I have been told about 30 are left . I know where about 20 are. Happy camping at a tractor show. Roger Weinhold AKA Charlie 1925, ( I have a birthday today ) , 77 Most of you have a lot of catching up to do.
