Methods not approved by OSHA i'm sure. But, What a glimpse into the past might have looked like when Delco light plants and glass jar batteries were common on the farms.

There's something to be said about doing things the old fashioned simple way.

I finally figured out why batteries cost so much in the last few years, the EPA has forced lead processing offshore by rules designed to do that, or the new lead rules force the battery makers to pass on the extra cost burdens to consumers.

Looks like me in the basement when I was about 13. Tore more than a few car batteries apart to get the lead so I could melt it. Was fun to pour a ladle full of lead into a bucket of water. Could cast only so many things out of lead so I moved on to aluminum.

I feel like mailing those guys a box of gloves. And a big ventilation fan.
