Default Jensen number 55

I bought a Jensen no. 55 at an online auction and after receiving it I found the engine's reversing hardware was missing. I've been to the Jensen factory several times, but they don't have any parts. They told me it was a pre 1950. If anyone has one from that era I either need the part in the center of the engine that locks in the reversing lever or a traced sketch of the part so I can make it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like youíre missing the little spring piece that holds the reversing lever in place. Iím not near my Jensens right now, but Iíll get you the info when I am.

I wish I lived closer to the Jensen factory. They would probably be sick of me if I did.

Here’s some info for you. You should be able to fab one up from this. The spring is made from bronze or brass material and nickel plated, but any light spring material would work. The tracing is on 1/4” graph paper.

Thanks Doug,
I was working on tracking one down from a friend of mine for Jim.
Well there you have it Jim.
Post some pic of the final finished model.

Cheers
