Default Lister D mag

Hi everyone,
I have taken the mag off my lister D to give it a good clean and remove the rust from the spacing plates that go under it.
I forgot to mark the cogs though when I removed it!!
Does this matter as I havenít played with the timing side of the engine, or have I?
Does the mag need to go back in a certain position with regards to the points or can it be bolted back and the chain put on it in any position?

I have tried googling this but canít find any reference to the position of the mag to the engine.
I am guessing that as long as itís spinning, itís send current to the points and they just take it as needed.

Hopefully I havenít done anything serious that will cause the engine not to fire at the right time and give me loads of work moving the mag one chain link at a time until I get it back to sparking at the right time.

Please someone give me good news!!

There are about 3 youtube videos on setting the timing. A video is worth a thousand words.
