Default Lacon IL Show Photos - Auction Results

Auction Results for engine auction that was held ~1 mile from the show from 9-11am while the show was going on...

http://www.oldengine.org/members/sba...conAuction.htm

There were plenty of deals at the auction...Several went for a current market prices (in my opinion). You can guess which ones I picked up...

I didn't go thru the fleamarket. When I got home, I saw the post saying that John would be there...Well, John, Sorry I missed you...I will see you at Sandwich in 2 weeks....

My favorite engine at the show as this little Red & Ready Pump Engine. Made in Havana, IL Circa 1895-1900. Anyone know of anymore of these out there? I have a video I need to edit of it running as well.

Steve,

I do not think you are going to find any more Red & Ready's like that. My family is from Havana, I have been looking around for a while to find one to bring back with no real luck.

The man who owns the engine in your pic is a nice guy to talk to.

Thanks for the auction pics.

Chris

There are one or two of these Red & Ready engines in California.

I've seen one of them at a show a few years ago, Grass Valley I think.

Someone was also trying to sell one a few years ago in California but I forget who it was.

This particular red & ready is very small. It may have been a salesmans sample or, just small. The ignition system is not original, it was put on by a former owner.

I think the flywheel on this one are 10 or 11 inches. How big are the ones on yours Dan?

Steve,

Why is it that you don't post the prices of what you bought?!?!?!?!

You got some great deals!

Thanks for the reports.

Thanks for the great pix & report! Any idea about how much the Taylor went for? It looks like it was a 1 1/2 HP Type B...

Would you have any photos of the back or other side of it?

Thanks!
-Rick
