That should be a good reminder; never leave the toggle switch in the hand crank position. BTW, if you had the battery on a float charger, you might have been OK.

We are expecting a doozie of a storm around here on Tuesday. Wonder if my ole JB will be put to work obtain?

HELLOW NORTH EAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got home from work and fired the cck over, put full load on it, and sat back and had a beer. Looks like we are going to get pounded.

Dan- inland looks lots better, right now we are looking at up to 14" Prob is on the coast we get the Nor Eastern storm 2 times, 1 x when i approaches and the 2nd x when it gets over the ocean with the counter clockwise rotation. The second half is sometimes much worse, with the energy from the water.

Leon- not sure about you, i know long island area was talking 1-2' ?

Update- they just showed us all the way up past Leon looking at 1-2' and east of there 2-3 ??

Anyhow im sure everybody here is doing the same thing, good luck everybody, with that prediction power is going out for sure.

just watched the weather guesser's 6 pm report.
Looks like this storm has the potential to give us anywhere from 18-30 inches of fluffy snow pushed with 50+ mph winds from Tuesday afternoon through Wed evening.

path looks like from the Jersey shore on up to Nova Scotia is going to get hit hard. Just changed the oil in snowblower this afternoon .

I looked for original coil 166-0278 but it went to 166-0863 and it says without external resistor . The one I had on the unit said use with external resistor.
Now yawl probably know but I didnt. Without is 3. Ohm with is 1.5 ohm whatever that means. The picture is of onan 166-0863

Well the latest report this evening indicates a possibly of up to 30 to 35 inches in this area with 50 MPH winds. That means we could have drifts as high as 10 feet. I am thinking I might switch over to JB power when I hit the rack, that way I do not have to get up and do it at let's say 4 am. I never installed an automatic transfer setup.

Ed, you are at or near ground zero for this one. Will be interesting to hear from you.

Leon

I'm in New Jersey, just 25-30 miles inland. We expect at least 18 inches to to 2 feet. I have a live 24x7 webcam that Pan, Tlts, and Zooms the entire area and streams over the internet for the entire world to see. I will post a link Monday when the action starts. I promise I won't run naked past the webcam during the snow storm
