Ok Stackers, I have one for you. not hard, I'm just curious. I have acquired a diesel Kubota onan generator and would like to know something about it. I found two stickers on it with what appears to be serial numbers . One is 7.5 HDKAL11475A, the other is K980827730. Any help here? I set this up on a refrigeration trailer, 6X6 walk in and two small chest freezers and so far it has worked out nicely. Ran it for 106hr straight and used 30 gallons of fuel. I'm a food truck owner operator and had it set up for five days at a show. What do you think ? Did I find a good one? Mitch the BBQ Guy.

Getting ready for winter??!!?? I just read that as storm may hit our area and could be the next hurricane Sandy. I just posted the link on the forum a few minutes ago. You may be using your Onan before winter hits. Okay, I need to stock up on beer....... I mean bread milk and eggs...

Really!!!
No one has done anything to there ONAN today

We all know JonnyC has been busy... Is it 3 or 4 threads on that 6CCK

Well I picked up a 4.0 BFA Saturday
Worked on it Sunday (filed points to get spark) started and verified power.
Monday changed oil and oil filter ran it long enough to get oil filter warm to the touch.

Just getting this thread back up front...

Congrats on your new 4.0 BFA. Saturday was a big day for both of us. Got any green porn on that 4.0 BFA?

JohnnyC

As for what I did today - Stripped some more paint on several of the tins on my 5CCK and banged out several minor dents in preparation for paint in a week or so. I bought a can of spray gunk to degrease the body of the 5CCK which is scheduled for next weekend and a gallon of 10W-40 Mobile 1 full synthetic which will fill the crankcase after gunking the body.

With out going out to the shed to investigate, does anyone know if a manometer can be installed on the Garretson regulator to monitor the gas pressure while the JB is running?

That is, is there a blank port on the Garretson to monitor the outlet gas pressure flowing into the carburetor while the JB is running?

Yep -there is a 1/8" NPT port on mine...

Oh, wait, you asked about outlet pressure? There is no port for that. Why on earth would you want to measure that?

You could just install a "T" in the line between the out port and the carb. Easily done.

Sounds like fun (tearing down the barn).
