Default Is the Spring Swap or Summer show better for engine buyers?

I've never been to any of the Portland shows and would like to have some opinions as to whether the Spring Swap or the Summer Show would be better for someone new to the hobby to buy some small flywheel engines. Also, when a person buys something too heavy to carry, how do you get it out of the show and loaded in your truck? I've looked all over the web and haven't seen any really good tips for newcomers to the shows that give practical advice. Thanks, Danny

Danmoore Both are good, but the summer show is the best, far more things to see and choose from. You would have a good at both. Ron

It depends on what you are looking for, they have engines for sale at each.
The spring swap, you will be parked with in the swap area. This means you can park next to the vender and man handle your engine to your vehicle, or there will be private lift operators available to make the move easier.
At the show, Is a little different, they prefer no street vehicles in the selling area, also the show area during the day time . So you can use your butt buggy and a small yard trailer, or private movers, or club lifts to your vehicle. There will be a small fee for the movers. Some times the vender has transportation for your purchase. If you come to the show as a spectator, you will be parked in the parking area outside the show and selling area. It would help a lot if you knew some one on the inside, to help with araingments. I have made araingments to get in the selling area after 7 pm to load out a purchase with my street vehicle. There is very little trafic in the selling area at that time.
