Default Bosch HDH 1908 mag

Anybody know what this mag fits??

Serial number is right near the line between 1907 and 1908.
Appears to be for a 4 cylinder.

This one is missing one pair of magnets if anyone knows where I might find some.

Thanks

Jonathan

Default Re: Bosch HDH 1908 mag

Hi Jonathan,

I have one the same.

They were used on Dutch Spyker cars. If you haven't already, undo the small screw at the front of the magneto and carefully pull the top cover forward, you will see that it is not your 'normal' magneto inside. None of the windings turn.

High RPM would not be a problem for this magneto.

I see yours is marked 'HDH', mine is marked 'HDh'.

I am sure they would have been used on other things. I haven't seen many of them in my travels.

Regards,
Wayne
