Default 1938 International LA - Sale Records Query?

Hi All,

I have recently become the proud owner of a lovely 1.5hp - 2.5hp McCormick Deering / International LA in very original condition.

I believe the engine has spent the majority of it's working life in the Cornwall area of England, with known history extending back around 50+ years.

Here are some photo's of the engine (courtesy of the previous owner Ross):

Here is a video clip of the previous owner running the engine:

I was wondering if any sales records exist for these engines that can provide more information on the engines original date of sale, and where it was sold to? I would love to know who the original owner was, and whether it was an original import to the UK. We are fortunate in England in so far as many of our English engine manufacturers original sales records have been kept and preserved. The sales records also tended to be very detailed, recording date of sale, original owners name and address, plus any special details / fitments to the engine when sold. Doe this sort of information still exist for International engines?

I would love to find out more about my engines history, and would be pleased to hear from anyone who can help.

All the best,
