Looking for information on a Crossley H hit & miss engine.
The s/n is 44394
What year did the engine go in service?

Joe,
I'm not sure it will help but try this link to British built engine manuals: http://www.internalfire.com/index.php It requires registration & they do charge to download manuals(used to be free). They have Crossley HD manual & parts list & HD/HH manual. Also photo of HH vertical. Might be a start.
Good luck!

This little Crossley H is fairly close to original sort of colour but it has been converted to high tension ignition.

Thank you for the great information and picture. My Crossley has a hot tube and I have had it running on propane. Need get it running a little better and than paint it up for the 2005 show season.

Can I get a copy of a manual for the Crossley H?

Thanks,
Joe Fidd

Hi Joe. I am not sure who would have a manual for the H Crossley. Geoff Challinor at the Anson Museum is the Crossley expert he may be able to help.
