Default Can any one figure out what this car is?

This little beauty showed up at my neighbors house this evening. I know what it is if any one gets close I'll let ya know. The owner said it's early 40's

Very good it is a ford. The tag on the rear says FORD V-8 I would ask the owner but i dont want to interupt what my neighbor is celebrating. Other than the v8 tag i dont see any other markings.

It is a 1940 Ford Standard with another tail light added on the right side. At least, in the picture it appears to have the Standard rather than Delux hood. I drove one of these when I was a teenager.
