Default lincoln weld and power

I have a old lincoln welder, it started making a loud buzzing humming type sound when i use the generator power can anyone diagnose this. thanks in advance.

a lot of these things do not like generator power.frequency could be off. what does it sound like when you plug it into utility power aka your home power? or is this a welder generator combination?

yes its a welder and gen. has a twin cyl wisconsin. seems to weld fine but when you fire up your power tools it makes some loud sounds.

that would be hard to figure out.it could be some rattling sheet metal.i wouldn't belive it to be anything harmful would have to hear it for myself.
