I'm trying to get my father-in-laws SA 200 with Hercules IXB going after twenty years of sitting.. freed it up and cleaned water cooling.. but now it is leaking from the water pump seal...How do you remove the water pump...I assume you first take mag(FM) off the ....? Thanks! Lynn (

If that unit has a packing nut that compresses string-graphite type packing or a split-circle type packing, it might just need a little time to soak up/expand---sitting for long time they tend to dry out...
Or it just might need some new packing material or a new packing piece pushed in, if the packing nut screws completely out and slides back on the shaft...
Or even just a little CAREFUL "snugging up"---but it'd be better to back nut off and clean threads first, after sitting so long; you don't want to strip or crack the housing by overtightening...
