Default Campbell Oil Engine

Hi everyone started pulling The Samson down, everything was going well until the last millimetre of the piston popped out followed by 2 litres of water. TO be continued. Has anyone seen anything on these engines in a tomm mag?

Hi gtis,i'm guessing the water was a reasonably fresh sample, sort of more recent? At least I hope that was the case?I can see some condensation and a bit of rust on the intake cage, but not too rugged.I'm wondering what the outcome was with the lower half of the bore in the submerged area?

Talking Re: Campbell Oil Engine

some bad pitting in one section of bore, the valves and seats are in good condition. Since last photos i have seated exhaust valve and blanked off inlet. Engine has quite good compression but who knows under running conditions
