Default Fairbanks Morse Air Compressor Engine

Found this engine on local Craigslist is has a good solid base 3hp pumps air really good shape . If I looked @ serial # correctly it's 1926 model. Me and my son clean the spark plug and oiled and greased it put some gas in starting tank fired right up . I usually don't have that kind of luck here's a few pictures. Notice on picture #3 there is a tab on the spark plug wire tower on mag there's is that spark plug gap setter or what???

Wow, that is nice. Bring it to Temple next week. I think you are correct about the tab being a gap setter. Been a long time since I have seen one.

Todd, there should be a water hopper on the head of the compressor. I could never find one for mine, and ended up fabricating one.

I have one of those to start our S M Jones oilfield engine. It is a great running setup.

Todd, looks like you are ready for the Temple show. See you there early on Friday. Jim has the big Fairbanks jacked up to level and ready to run.
