Default IHC 3 to 5hp "LB" engines with clutch pulley.

I have 2 of these engines, both are stuck and missing lots of parts. On a better note they both have decent clutch pulleys.
I would like to remove the clutch pulley to put on a good engine I have.

Has anyone removed a clutch pulley from a 3 to 5hp. IHC LB?
I need help on how it is done.
Thanks!

I have and it is not usually a simple procedure, it would be easier explained over the phone.

The only clutch pulley I ever got for a 3-5 LB was from Ken Meeks and he used a plasma cutter....nuff said.

Anyone knows if the clutch pulley is threaded onto the shaft OR if it is a pressed fit with keyway and key?

It is just held on by the gib key like any other pulley on a L/LB

I got the first steps from Tom in removing this type of clutch pulley but I lost communication with him:

1-remove hand wheel.
2-remove tin cover.
3-find and remove set screw.
then
4-???
5-???

4= remove the clutch spring housing by unscrewing it counterclockwise (you may need to tap it with a soft mallet CAREFULLY ! to get it moving ) 5= you will now see the gib key ! (These can also be a real pain to remove if they have been exposed to the ellements. ) 6= do not attempt to remove the back half of the clutch without removing the gib key or you will end up breaking it ! Good luck I have spent days and weeks removing these clutches, thats the reason Ken Meeks would just cut the camshaft off and sending you the project.
