Default Stover Cooper

I have a Stover/Cooper KA 2 hp stationary engine. I am looking for parts for this engine. I see parts on eBay for a Stover CT2 engine is this the same as mine? As I need a gasket set , Inlet valve, and a cog that goes in between the flywheel cog and the governor cog. Can anyone help me with sourcing these items.

The inlet valve and cam gear from a closed crank ct2 stover will work fine on ya ka cooper/stover. Head gaskets are different though

G'Day Ken,
Try Vintage Spares Ghinni Ghinni. NSW near Taree for some parts for you Cooper.
Google him and he has a website for some parts but send an email or phone John for more info.

Ken, You could try Hit and Miss Enterprises in USA, I have ordered some parts from them back in July, but have yet to have conformation they have been sent. I think they fill orders if they have the parts on the shelf, but if they have to manufacture, they take some time to send. I have a KA2 with buggered bearing journals, so I'm weighing up the options to repair. Web site http://www.hitnmiss.com/

Yes Cockie, that is who I meant. Thanks for putting me on the right track. He is only a few kilometers away from me here, you think I could remember him.

That's good news Ken. I did catch up with John Humphries at the Clarendon Classic rally and he told me he was able to help.
I have to pay him a visit this week to pick up a 30amp Amp gauge for our Cropmaster. The 60amp one is near useless when you have a generator that does not put out that many amps. He has them as a stock item as well.

When you open Smokstak Downunder across the top of the topics is where you click to start a new thread.
For your oiler pipe and muffler, Don Reid on the Gold Coast may have something but again try Rustic Spares. He never ceases to amaze me what he has hiding away in his sheds.

Hello all
Don has the repo muffler. The Cooper muffler is different to the Stover muffler. Below is the Cooper.
Do you have the dimensions of the oiler pipe Ken? I'm pretty sure they're 1/4" pipe thread into the block....but not positive.
Cheers Scott

Good to see that muffler, as I have wondered if to one on my Cooper was an original. They seem louder than the Stover muffler.

Wow that is one mean looking Exhaust system. I have seen several types of exhaust systems for this Cooper 2hp - will think about this. I have decided to make my own oiler pipe as I had to rezise and tap the hole in the cylinder. That was an interesting job using a modified top to a tap and 2 extensions on a rachet to reach the depth of the tank cylinder.

I was going to mention with your oiler pipe that there is 2 different threads for a 1/4" pipe, NPT is one and I have a mental block at the moment for the other.

No comment from you Mr Scotty about my mental block please!

I think the threads on those Cooper Stovers are UN from memory. I don't recall using Whitworth spanners on mine.
