Default Type FM X1B7E coil price $$$

Gentlemen,

I was quoted $61.88 for my Wisconsin AEN replacement coil from Rock Creek Consulting. I buy all of my Wisconsin parts from Rock Creek and his prices have been acceptable. Can I get the same quality coil cheaper anywhere else? Jim

You may try McDonald Carb and Ignition. They were able to help me out with a coil for FM-XF2B7...pretty reasonable prices.

Try contacting Standard Magneto at 1-800-MAGNETO (1-800-624-6386).

The coil you need is most likely part number R2477C

I bought the coil and other magneto parts from McDonald Carb & Ignition. I found out later that Standard Magneto was a few dollars cheaper for the same FM coil.
Thanks guys for your help. Jim

That may be true, but does Standard come on here and offer us advice and assistance?

I have found the Asian coils to be inferior and only stock OEM quality USA coils when available. On the R2477 coils, if the outside is slick it is Asian and will many times fail prematurely.
