Default Linkwelder dc 225 starting problems

Hello,
I have a problem with a dc-225/3-AS
code no.6630
ser. no. 641915
Onan ccka-s/1627g

Any way it uses 24 volts to spin engine over using the generator.
Problem is the solenoid seems to be sticking and wont stop spinning engine.
I have to pull cable off of the battery to get it to stop.
I have tryed other solenoids new and old and nothing seems to be working.
I have fried a couple of push button switches.
What do you guys think? This is a good old welder and I sure would rather be welding than beating my brain on this problem.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

are you replacing the solenoids with the correct Onan type? they are different than the similar looking Ford common type? wired differently inside.
Do you have the CCKA manual for trouble shooting?
If not come on over to the onan forum and someone will hook you up with the correct manuals.

Ed,

I didnt know that they where different than Ford ones. There wasnt any markings on outside of them to even hint at that.So this explains why everyone is stumped around here that has looked at it.

I dont have an onan manual, but I have the lincoln side of it.

I will post on onan forum.

Thanks for your quick reponse Ed!
