When the flux comes off they are only good for electro-cutting of scrap metal.

Yeah I figured that, some have 100% coating, many don't.
but for free, figured maybe someone would want them.
if not, no biggie.
just a free offer if anyone wants them?

maybe good to let a new guy play with too??

We need to know what the number written on the rod is in order to know how to use them.

I didn't notice any numbers on them, and YES know they should have some
will try tomorrow to look better and see IF I see any numbers
almost ALL are the same type(appearance) with a few different mixed in, NOT many, but a few odd balls as to the majority of them

That is an interesting box. How long has it been since they packed rods in a wood box?

there from a OLD farm, and were stored in an OLD refrigerator there in the box
I looked real QUICK at a few and cannot find any numbers on any of the rods??
the box for them MIGHT b worth more than the rods LOL

I have done quite a fair amount of stick welding over the years & can pretty honestly say the best thing to do with these would be to throw them in with your next load of scrap iron. You are also correct........the box is worth way more than the contents. Just my $.02 worth.
