...I see Scotty is right onto you there Darryl!,...an old saying I once heard.."never open the gate for a bolting horse".

Neil,..I was reading on the net somewhere about how they will 'defensively' bite
I have seen(and felt!) what you are talking about. Those things will come out of the hole to track you down for a chance to bite.
A year or two back mum was weeding the agapanthus at the front fence. One of those 'defensive' inch ants came out and bit then stung her on the hand.I only ever saw my mother cry about twice in my life. That was one of them.

I came across the realisation that things up the poo shoot isn't natural after a colonoscopy sorta thing. I never realised they used a camera disguised as a pineapple. And to think they said it was only pnly leas thdn 10mm dio. See, to this day, I can't do the simplest tasks, even spell, thinking about it and it was over 16 years ago.
10mm be buggered. It was a pineapple.

How ya going Mate? Here in Michigan, auto parts electronic gear was being attacked by I believe what were called crazy raspberry ants? Seems they liked the sealant on circuit boards and would climb deep up into components to get to it. Good luck with those black buggers

Yeah, going good thanks matey. Thanks for asking.
The little black nuisances (not quite what I called them when I first found them) are gone and the machine is up and running again. It did bring back memories seeing the machine run again but I'm over that now and put the covers back on. They'll probably be on for another 20 years.
There must have been something up there they liked. They were definitely concentrated in 2 areas. That one board and in a semi sealed counter.

Cheers Scott

Hi All and Scotty,2 refering to your quote no- 24, you must be just a tight arsed bast'rd
I have been there, don't remember any pineapple, just a sandwich and a cup of their shitty tea. after a shitty look from the surgeon, he asked "how are you feeling"? I replied, great. NO shit? he said, then I don't remember much more after that other than that shitty cup of tea. Cheers, John

mind you, the 'garbage in equals garbage out' system applies,
it is important to have good quality poo,
or things could get worse.

Not a new idea, hitlers dr was onto this and used soldiers poop to cure hitler of stomach problems. Not sure how he went about it and kind of don't want to know!

Did anyone see thee Mythbusters episode where they made rocket fuel out of poop?
I have a feed of KFC once a year just so I'm reminded why I don't eat the rubbish. When I do eat it it comes out at about the same velocity as the rocket fuel poop.

Cheers Scott
PS: My wise old nana had a saying. "if you don't eat you don't poop. If you don't poop ya die". Wise woman my nana. She did like a feed.

A long day in surgery services ward yesterday Darryl.I showered and got ready at home and arrived on time at midday. The plan was to have my turn 'last cab off the rank' so I watched some TV and waited. It turns out 'second last' is on the other side of the curtain beside me.Hers was going to be a pooh end view with the hose,..and I kept thinking "hmm?..her next...me last.(and Darryls words)
When I got to the operating room I looked all around the walls for two nails,..one marked "intake" the other "exhaust" but couldn't see any.
One thing that surprised me was the teamwork with the room full of people all busy at something. The other thing that surprised me was the intelligence of the aenethesist. Here is an example of a highly educated individual applying himself to a critically important role.I decided to express my gratitude and announced "you're doing a great job team".The aenethesist seeming puzzled with the timing of my praise answered on their behalf "but we haven't done anything yet",to which I replied " well I have to say it now,...while I still can"(he had already given me the 'big' needle).Surely that wasn't hard to work out!?

Just for the record Darryl,...no nasty after taste.

When I had my knee done I was amased at how many people were involved. I excepted 3 or 4 but there were at least 6 or 7.
When I came out into the recovery ward the surgeon came out to see me and he was laughing. Apparently I talked when I was under and all I could talk about was having a pasty from Hank's. Hank's Kitchen is a pie shop in South Grafton. I hadn't had a pasty from there since 1985 I think it was. I was really hungry when I went in as I could not eat after midnight and surgery was 3 pm...... and those pasties are bloody good.
Great...now I'm hungry again and I just had breakfast a couple of hours ago and smoko isn't for another couple.

Cheers Scott

It is always good to find a good pastie but they are hard to find. On a recent trip to Adelaide we had some mass produced ones from Balfour's (I think) and I could eat a dozen per sitting easily.

There used to be a bakery right opposite Taree railway station and when the train came in people in the know ran across the road and bought the pasties there and ran back to the train. Unfortunately the shop is now closed and no one makes a good pastie here any more but some pies are not too bad especially one called the 'Ned Kelly' with a whole egg on top with bacon and cheese inside.

Interesting subject. It's always "the best meat pie" every one talks about, but pasties are a more complicated subject. I like a good flaky pastry, good amount of pepper and they must have meat along with peas in the vegetable mix. I love them with sauce, but some are just as good without.
My old Mum made the best Cornish Pasties ever. You know, the ones with the harder non flaky pastry, but that's another subject. _ (Jeez Cobbadog 12 is a bloody good effort!)- Neil.
