Photo Petter S First Rally

Hi guys,

This is my 6HP S type Petter that we recently took to the Clarendon Classic rally. This was the engine's first event. The engine ran faultlessly all day.

This restoration has been two years in the making. when i first acquired the engine it was in very poor condition. The engine was completely seized with the crank case full of water. Removing the piston and crankshaft was an enormous task taking many patient hours to remove them without any damage.

A video of it running to come shortly.

Regards,
Sunshineman

Excellent restoration. I had been looking forward to seeing the Petter "S" & I was not disappointed. The only thing that I missed was the startup. Well done Petter Man AKA Sunshineman.

I had the pleasure of attending the Clarendon rally for the first time and was super impressed. The range of engines was fantastic and something we don't see in WA. I also met a lot of people so I can now put faces to names of people I have talked to / communicated with via Facebook / Smokstak etc over the years. One of those names was Sunshineman ( Hilton) who has always helped me on any issue I have over the past 2/3 years and it was a pleasure to meet up and have a chat. After looking at his engine I can see why he is regarded as he is. It was magnificent and a credit to him. Well done Hilton.

Beautiful resto!
Now how did you make a hose to snake around to the water tank. Or did you get lucky finding it from some car.

Everyone recognises that hose. It is off a VW bug, V8 model.
