It's a 12 HP BIG CHIEF, unfortunately it's missing the water hopper so I'll probably have to fabricate one, and also missing the exhaust rocker and pivot. Not sure how many of the big ones made it to Australia. The cart was just a spare I had but it seems to suit the engine, don't no what it was originally used for.

Lucky the head was also off it as the skid steer only just lifted it.

Got the big boy into the shed and done a bit of work recently. Pulled the piston, used a chain block to help lift it out and in, made the job easy. Made new points for the ignitor, just drilled the old ones out and used nails. Made some rollers and bent up the springs, bench tested and appears to have nice blue spark. All looking good so far

If you want to make a new cast iron hopper like original for your engine, I can draw a CAD model of a mold for the hopper. There is a 3d sand printing company in Australia that can 3d print the sand mold. You would then take that mold to a foundry where it can be poured. Let me know if you are interested.

Pic's of large hopper in USA that may be for this engine. Working with Justin on this, Opinions if this is Waterloo or Galloway hopper?? 27.5" long x 16 T x 18 wide, 10" water hole.
Anyone got actual spec's of 15 Galloway hopper or 12 / 14 Waterloo hopper?
Info on process to ship to Australia to mate to engine??? Thanks

G'day John,
I have checked measurements you have sent me, looks like it will bolt straight on. Hopefully someone will give advice on shipping it over here, otherwise I'll have to get out the row boat.
Cheers justin

Hi John,
I have been told that if I get the item packed, have it sent via Fastenal 3 PL to Cheetah exports in Indianapolis.
Thanks Justin

Not an expert but what I have seen, the hopper looks like a Waterloo Boy not a Big Chief. But better than not having a hopper!
