Default Witte 2 HP gas engine

I have serial # 84517 engine rated at 600 RPM.

Question: What is the initial setting for the main fuel screw?

Question: Any info on setting the magneto to fire at the correct time? It seems to fire quite late when spark lever is retarded. When spark lever is in run position it fires just after TDC. Is the cam off by 1 cog?

Thank you.

I would say you are on the right track. Should fire before TDC with the lever advanced.
