Default Essex Cab. on Chase Engine

Pictures at link below. What is missing on the inlet of this Essex Caburater? There are two ears which have holes. Was there a choke assembly? Threads are 1 1/4" pipe thread. Where can I obtain parts for cab.? Thanks

I'm not sure that you are missing anything. The piece with the two ears is a fairly common pipe fitting called a face bushing, it looks like someone added this at a later date.
