Default Homelite Generator Carb Parts?

Hi everyone, My neighbor just got a Homelite 2500 watt generator for free because the engine won't run. Turns out the engine was left setting for a year with gas in it and the carb is a mess.

What is the part numbers for a rebuild kit for this engine?

Briggs & Stratton Model 1334112 Type 007002 Code 960618YA

Homelite Model LR2500

I can't seem to find the engine doing a search for Briggs 1334112 Carb Rebuild Kit?

I need a carb kit and crank case breather rubber parts for both ends of the steel tube.

Robert

That's one of the new throw away carbs. All you can do is find some of the good berrymans carb soak and let it set in it for a day. Other than that, replace the diaphragm I've got some of those, I can mail you, if needed.

Try this for B&S parts listing.

I've found NAPA is a decent source for small engine parts as most of the small shops close up.

diaphragm? This is a float bowl type carb that is on this engine. Neighbor wont leave the dang gen with me for servicing. I have to go to the gen which is a pita for looking for part numbers and stuff. Argh! Closest I can find is Briggs 133412 which seems to show the same parts that I had in my hand today. The carb bowl gasket is falling apart and the inside was just full of rust.

What is a part number for a replacement carburetor for this engine? I am thinking this would be the better option at this point. Just slap it on and get err going.

I was assuming it was the engine with the carb bolted to the tank.

For some reason there is an extra scratch mark on the engine ID tag. The correct number is Briggs 133412 Type 007002 Code 960618YA.

This kit seems to match up to what I need. https://www.repairclinic.com/PartDet...rHelpVideoTabs

Great, didn't mean to mis-lead you on which carb was on your uniit.

No problem. This gen has been pretty hard to find anything at all on the web. Briggs site does not seem to be able to find any engine with those numbers or I'm doing it wrong? Was hoping for a parts diagram for the Carb atleast.

Found the part number of the original carb and it's a discontinued product and don't seem to have any substitute part? Seems several folk are looking for the same carb online. I hate this throw away crap. Carb should be one of the rebuild-able components. Screw the freakin EPA. These nut jobs make more pollution than these small engines do in a year and then some.
